Teaming up with philanthropic partner AdoptAClassroom.org, Animas Valley Elementary School, along with more than 600 schools across the country, received funding to help equip classrooms with additional resources necessary for students to learn and thrive in school.
As part of the initiative, which aims to help make learning accessible to as many children as possible, the Morehart Murphy donation will help support the students at Animas Valley Elementary. Teachers will be able to purchase supplies, materials and tools their students need through the national non-profit, AdoptAClassroom.org. These classroom resources are intended to enhance education and help Durango 9-R students learn and succeed in school.
