The district's former location, 201 E. 12th St. in downtown Durango, is now closed to the public. The City of Durango is the new owner of the building, which was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
The departments moving to the new Bodo Park location include: superintendent, executive team, communications, curriculum and instruction, student support services, human resources, finance, safety and security, and the Durango Education Foundation. The staff members from the facilities, custodial, and technology departments have moved to the Parker Warehouse location in Bodo Park.
