Are you a future-builder?

Share your thoughts about potential investments and fundingDurango School District 9-R is committed to excellence and providing the optimal learning environment that is safe, modernized for today’s student needs, and geared toward our Portrait of a Graduate vision.

We want your input to help inform the final recommendations made to the Board of Education on a potential bond ballot question to be put forward to voters this November.

The 9-R Board of Education established the Long-Range Planning Committee, consisting of district employees, community members, and business representatives. This committee met for over a year to identify priorities and guide the district on critical issues. Priorities were then tested via a recent community wide poll.

We are nearing the end of this process, and we are now asking for your additional input to help inform the final recommendations made to the Board of Education on a potential bond ballot question to be put forward to voters this November.

We invite you to visit our new interactive website, durangoschools.org/engage, to learn more about the potential investments and a funding option being considered. There, you will find opportunities to provide feedback, ask questions, and share your thoughts. We encourage you to spread the word and share this website with your neighbors and fellow community members.

Your opinions are invaluable to us and will directly impact the board’s decision anticipated this summer. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Karen Cheser
Superintendent
