Miller to move out of DHS, into new building Sept. 24

* Friday, Sept. 20: Miller staff will pack up material at Durango High School and Impact Career Innovation Center, with support from district facilities and other staff members.

* Saturday & Sunday, Sept. 21-22: Facilities and moving staff will move boxes to the new site over the weekend.

* Monday, Sept. 23: Staff Day to unpack and prepare classrooms for students. No school for Miller students on this day to give teachers time to get settled in.

* Tuesday, Sept. 24: First day of classes at the new school site for all staff and students.

Everyone has done an amazing job managing this unusual back-to-school transition. We’re grateful to our construction teams for their quick work to recover from the summer fire damage. And we’re so excited for everyone to be in their own new school and get back to learning.

From the school and district leadership teams, we offer our deep thanks to Miller and DHS families for patience and understanding of this unique situation. The final touches are being added to the new building, and we're so excited to welcome students! A public Grand Opening will be held after the move-in date, likely sometime in October.
