Join the Inclusive Excellence Guiding Coalition

Goals

Our coalition will develop a new three-year DEIB strategic plan and identify subcommittees focused on action, data analysis aligned with goals and providing district staff ongoing feedback regarding areas of celebration and areas of improvement. Subcommittees will be identified after the strategic plan is crafted in alignment with OE-13: DEIB. 

Commitments 

Coalition members commit to the above purpose/ mission and commit to building inclusively excellent school communities through collaboration, communication, and action. To best support our coalition members, Spanish language interpretation, child care, and refreshments will be provided at each scheduled meeting.  

Meeting Information 

DEIB Strategic Planning Meetings:  The first two meetings will be focused on the development of our DEIB strategic plan and coordinating the Welcoming School Environments Visits.  

Each meeting thereafter will be structured with the following components:

  • 4:00–5:00 p.m. Welcome & Subcommittee Work Time 
  • 5:00–5:15 p.m.Team Development & Connection
  • 5:15–5:45 p.m. Subcommittee Sharing 

 

  • Each subcommittee will have 15-20 minutes to share progress and receive feedback from other coalition members.  
  • Coalition members will ask questions, provide feedback, and help develop next steps within the strategic plan.
  • 5:45–6p.m. Closure: Coalition members will leave meetings with an understanding of next steps and future work.  

Meetings will take place at Needham Elementary School based on the following schedule:

  • Oct. 1, 2024 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Nov. 5, 2024 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Dec. 3, 2024 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Feb. 4, 2025 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • March 4, 2025 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • April 1, 2025 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • May 6, 2025 4:00–6:00 p.m.
