District rolls out Stopfinder app to help families track buses in real time
Starting Aug. 20, families of bus riders will be able to know in real-time where a specific bus is located, when is the estimated time of arrival, and how to have the most accurate information about the bus schedule. It’s all in the palm of your hand with a new FREE mobile phone app called Stopfinder.
Your child’s safety is paramount. And knowledge – and information – is power. And that’s what is at the heart of Stopfinder. No parent, school administrator or bus driver wants to have their children waiting at the bus stop any longer than they need to be – in good or bad weather. None of us want them missing the bus either. Stopfinder is a fully integrated and secure solution that helps solve these problems.

Stopfinder app benefits
- Know the schedule of your child’s bus
- Receive push notifications related to your child’s bus schedule and any changes, such as bus number or driver changes
- Get real-time information on the location of your child’s bus by creating your own alert zones with the upgrade to GeoAlerts
- Notice bus substitutions because they are clearly indicated – reducing misinformation and confusion
- Track multiple buses, a great feature if your children don’t ride the same bus

Important tips for Stopfinder users
- If you haven't registered your student for the bus, please register today. The app won't work until your student is registered. Remember, ALL bus riders must register for the 2024/25 school year – even if you have not changed your address or school.
- You will not be able to use the app unless you have a child registered to ride the bus.
- All bus riders must wear their student ID badge every day in order for you to use the app.
- If a bus is in a location where cell service is problematic, the app may be slow or not work properly.
