Anne Monie

Anne began her career with Durango 9-R in 2005, working as a bus driver and cook.  Anne shares that she loves the collaboration of the staff, as everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission of feeding the Sunnyside students.  She feels this truly creates a family environment.

 

Anne is proud of her "Blue and White Cafe" with its creative menu displayed daily.  She hosts several fun activities throughout the school year such as "Build-A-Burger Day", "Veggie Challenge", "No One Eats Alone Day", "Dance Fridays", and special graduation meals for the pre-school and fifth grade students and their families.

 

Anne has taken a college nutrition class, and is working on earning School Nutrition certificates.  One of her favorite hobbies is gardening. 

 

Fun fact:  Anne's grandchildren are 5th generation Durango 9-R students!
